New-car sales in Spain rose 26 percent to 76,073 in October, the 14th consecutive month of growth in the market, car manufacturers' association Anfac said.
The rise follows a 26 percent increase in September, helped by a purchasing subsidy program.
Under the scheme, car owners who scrap their old car and buy a new one get a subsidy of 2,000 euros, half from the government and half from the carmaker. In June, the government extended the subsidy program for the sixth time with a further injection of 175 million euros ($238 million).
Market sales in the first 10 months of the year rose 18 percent to 716,746 cars, Anfac said.
